De regresso aos treinos...
And after a long period of forced rest due to the restoration of the rink floor and the Christmas Holidays the teams returned to the preparation for the 2009 Asian Championship. Although no date or location has been set, the Asian Championship is the great “test” of the year. A few tournaments are arriving and we need to begin training early to prepare.
The preparation has been halted by some unexpected problems, for example, the few hours that the rink is available for practice. However the biggest problem was the change of the rink floor. Despite all the indications given by the various sports that practice on the rink, the choice of the floor was less than remarkable.
A floor that makes roller hockey practice hard and has caused some injuries.
The coach, Alberto Lisboa, is deeply concerned with the condition of the floor. "The floor is rubber and is not suitable for any type of sport. It is a floor that grabs, holds the wheels, holds the stick, holds the ball, holds the goalkeeper. It requires the athletes to do three times the amount of physical strain and that is the only advantage. And there isn’t any type of material in the market appropriate to practice the sport in these conditions. "
However, a change in this field is expected, because small accidents have happened, and the holiday’s activities for the kids are coming.
Some tournaments have already been talked about in some blogs dedicated to sport. We await the confirmation of the association to disclose any more information.
